This one is actually a little bit older. One of you know - I do LARP, live action role play and one of my groups is the Copper Camp at the Drachenfest. In 2012 the Paladins from the Copper Camp decided to pimp the Paladin "main hall" a.k.a. tent. One of them suggested something like "a tapestry would be cool" so I started to make one. Based on the famous tapestry from Bayeux (more than 60 m long) I chose several scenes, arranged them new and styled the figures like players from the Copper Camp and others from the Drachenfest. The whole image was handdrawn on paper, scanned, colored with computer and finally printed on fabric. The final tapestry is 12 m long and 0,55 m high.
All in all lin took me from September 2012 to Juli 2013 from scratch to finished artwork.
More than 100 pictures were used for references, severeal months to design it, about 50 hours for arrangement and coloring with computer, several days for sewing the seams.
It took about a year to get the chance to take photos of the whole thing. Still it is an image that consists 9 single photographs, but I'll never get closer without perspective displacement.
And now the bad news - by accident I deleted the print file 2 weeks ago. No. No backup. Why should anyone anytime make a backup of large projects..... >_>
