Arken van Roth - in light and shadow

Inspired by an artpiece of the wonderful Gold-Seven I tried a series with the warcraft characters of two close friends and mine to show their changing from the old Order (black on white) to the new one (black on red). The first one is our Grandmaster, Arken van Roth. The text says "Ehre dem Erbauer - Stärke dem Licht" (Honor to the Builder - strength to the Light). During the last months we broke up the old Order and created a new one, changing the colors and the armour.
The green side is supposed to show the living side with the fresh leaves and bright colors.
The red side shows the new side, a teaming up with undead knights but still serving the old ways. Armour and tabbard are red as a symbol of the spilled blood of the Order.

I'm veeeery happy how the eagle of the pauldron came out and I'm kind of surprised how different the sides look, even with copying the lineart from one side to the other and painting the faces with the same colors.

As usual the armour design, tabbard design and the whole Warcraft background belongs to Blizzard, the concept of the Order and the character of Arken van Roth belongs to Arkens player.
